In
September 2001 I was in Yorkshire and, on the way home, visited the
North Yorkshire Railway at Pickering. More visits below
Pickering
Railway Station. North Yorkshire Steam Railway. Sept 9 2001.
Unfortunately the day I chose to visit this station was a Children's Day
and buntings were everywhere. Also, on the front of these proud
locomotives, were placed masks of children's programme "Thomas the
Tank Engine" which completely ruined the locomotive's splendour.
Therefore you will see that none of the following images show the front
of the loco's.
Locomotive
sitting at the platform at Pickering Station -you will see an image of
this in Grosmont below in 2006
Scene
at Pickering Station. Some of those buntings in evidence. Mind you, it
could almost be a photo of VE Day 1945!
Another
view of the railway station at Pickering, North Yorkshire. This time
looking up track. Sept 9 2001.
A beautiful loco.
